Overstayed Vietnam Visa

Overstay is something like your real length of stay is longer than the valid of your Viet Nam visa. There are so many reasons for overstayed like some trouble happen that you can not extend your current Vietnam visa, or you can not fly back to your country for some medical treatment, or you can not book the flight on time and so on.

You can immediately go to the Viet Nam immigration department in Ha Noi or Ho Chi Minh city to make an exit visa or make it smooth at any travel agent.

When you visit the Vietnam immigration they will take your passport and ask you to write down in a piece of paper why you overstay, what you are doing, your current address and contact in Vietnam. After a few weeks, they will return your passport and you have to pay for the penalty fee and they will give you an exit visa if you want to leave the country. Based on the Vietnam immigration you have 7 days to leave the country since you receive your exit visa. After all of this process, you can not enter the country again in the near future as your profile is in the blacklist of Vietnam immigration, your Vietnam visa application will be denied for no reason.

A good travel agency can solve this trouble if you overstayed for a long time. You can ask the travel agency who can talk directly to the immigration department. They can give you a lot of options they can support you like make an exit visa or extend the visa and of course they can remove your profile from the blacklist of the Vietnam immigration. But you have to pay the service fee for the travel agency.

Overstayed is a bad idea, you can extend your current visa at any travel agent around you to avoid overstaying. Do not overstay ever (in any country).

Ask the advice from a travel agency or lawyer before go directly to the immigration department. If you get denied for a visa, that's how you know you are in the blacklist of the Vietnam immigration department. when you try a new application as no one will let you know. So to avoid being on the blacklist please do not visit the immigration department first. Even you have a new passport you can not apply for a new visa when you are on the blacklist of the Vietnam immigration department.
