Why the service fee changes after choosing nationality?

When planning a holiday abroad meant first having to deal with the hassle of applying for a visa. Those dreadful queues, the never-ending documents, the inquisitive questions, and then that long wait for the much-awaited piece of paper, etc. But, not anymore! Things are getting easier than ever by Visa on Arrival (VOA). Based on the document required and processing time, there are different service fees between nationalities. Most of the country will have a basic fee. However, few nationalities are on immigration restriction list, they need the following information below to issue an approval letter.

  • Passport data page scan/photo (full page without cutting any parts)
  • The return flight (maximum 20-25 days)
  • Hotel booking
  • Visa/Resident card which is validity with transit flights

Remark: Upon arrival, you must show cash or give your card to the Vietnam Immigration to check if your balance is over $1000US/pax. If yes, you can enter Vietnam. Otherwise, you will be forced to fly back to your country even you have the APPROVAL LETTER.

The standard processing takes 7-10 working days (after all required documents are submitted). The immigration department will be closed on Saturday, Sunday, VIETNAMESE holiday. Please take account of the observed holidays in planning for your visa application and travel. After applying for Visa on Arrival (VOA), the applicants should follow up the mailbox and send all documents needed as soon as possible.
